Teacher Associate: NICAO's Head Start program is accepting applications for a Teacher Associate in Forest City, IA. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day, during the school year only. Pay range: $15.76-$18.75 Duties Include: -Assist the teacher in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate, nurturing, and supportive early childhood program. -Build relationships with children, families, and staff that follow our program's curriculum and Head Start performance standards. -Provide a variety of experiences and media that stimulate children to explore and express their creative abilities. -Eat meals/snacks with children to model and develop positive eating habits. Job Requirements: -High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Early Childhood Education and/or experience preferred. -Ability to maintain a professional, positive attitude. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task. -Pass SING background check with fingerprints (information provided during interview). -Must be punctual and dependable.
