Job Title: Teacher Aide Floater (School Year Only) Location: Central (Mason City, Manly, Clear Lake, Hampton) or Western Area (Algona, Forest City, Clear Lake) Employment Type: Monday through Friday, 7.5 hrs. a day during the school year. Position Overview: As a Floater, you’ll provide valuable support in various classrooms and age groups, stepping in where needed to ensure consistency and quality in care and education. This is a key role that helps maintain smooth operations and ensures that children receive nurturing, responsive interactions every day. Key Responsibilities: Support classrooms for children ages birth to five, stepping in as needed due to staff absences or schedule needs. Assist teaching teams in implementing daily routines, classroom activities, and individual learning plans. Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Help maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate environment. Collaborate with team members and follow Head Start Program Performance Standards. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience working with young children preferred. Flexibility to work with different age groups and in multiple classroom settings. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to meet state and program licensing requirements (e.g., background checks) Drivers License with adequate insurance to travel when needed.
