Job Title: Early Head Start Teacher Location: 811 N Kentucky Ave Mason City, IA 50401 Job Type: Full-Time, with week-long breaks in the summer, spring, and winter. Our Early Head Start program focuses on providing high-quality early childhood education and support services to children from birth to age three, helping them achieve their full developmental potential. Position Overview: We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Early Head Start Teacher to start at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year. You will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized lesson plans that foster children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Key Responsibilities: You will plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 0-3, in line with Early Head Start guidelines. You will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children's growth in all areas: cognitive, social, emotional, and physical. You will develop individualized learning plans to meet the specific needs of each child. You will maintain accurate and timely records, including progress reports and attendance records. You will foster positive relationships with children and their families through consistent communication and support. You will collaborate with you co-teacher, other teachers, program staff, and community resources to ensure the best outcomes for children and families. You will use your education of at least an Early Childhood Diploma (or AA in Early Childhood Education) to provide a variety of experiences that stimulate the children to explore and express their creative abilities.
