About Us
The North Iowa Children's Museum is eager to transform the landscape of childhood education and play. As a vibrant nonprofit corporation and a registered 501(c)(3), NICM is on a mission to spark curiosity and foster development through dynamic experiential play exhibits and programs.
Since its incorporation in August 2021 and subsequent tax-exempt status in April 2022, the North Iowa Children's Museum has been tirelessly working towards an ambitious vision: to create a premier indoor destination brimming with hands-on exhibits that inspire a lifelong love of learning, exploration, and wonder. Through engaging mobile events, the museum has touched the lives of approximately 25,000 children and families. These exhibits cater to diverse learning styles, encouraging everything from gross and fine motor skills to imaginative play and collaboration.
The North Iowa Children's Museum's community outreach programs continue to build awareness with the public and gain traction in the quest to develop a permanent children's museum in Clear Lake.
