About This Position:
The Parks & Maintenance Worker position performs a variety of semi-skilled duties involved with the maintenance and care of city park grounds, aquatic center, buildings and equipment. This job is a seasonal position that begins in or around April and ends in or around November of each year. The position does not include benefits.
Key responsibilities include:
Perform parks & maintenance tasks including but not limited to, repair and maintenance of buildings, tables, park equipment, removal of litter and trash.
Operate various tractors and trucks for mowing, park work, snow removal, and hauling away debris and garbage.
Performs semi-skilled tasks in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general maintenance and construction work.
Various landscaping work in and around the parks; trimming bushes, mowing, planting trees, week maintenance, mulching plantings and playground equipment.
