Three Stars Statue Unveiling Ceremony

Some places are known for their history. Others are known for preserving it.

On Friday, August 7 at 11:00 AM, we invite our community to gather at the Surf Ballroom for the unveiling of three permanent life-size bronze statues honoring Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper. At the very place where these three pioneers of rock & roll gave their final performance together, their legacies will become a permanent part of the landscape for generations to come.

This is more than a statue unveiling. It's a celebration of what makes Clear Lake so special. Our community has spent decades preserving one of music's most important stories, welcoming visitors from around the world, and ensuring that the legacy of February 1959 continues to inspire future generations.
