The Storm Book Signing

AUTHOR MICHELLE JOHNSON DEUBTS HER FIRST NOVEL THE STORM
STORY IS SET IN CLEAR LAKE, IOWA
 
Clear Lake, IA. Author Michelle Johnson is debuting her first novel—a Contemporary Romance—in Clear Lake, Iowa, where her book is set. The book signing will be held at Larson’s Mercantile on Saturday, November 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Johnson lives in Norfolk, Nebraska.
This event is hosted by Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and Larson’s Mercantile. “Larsons Mercantile and the Clear Lake Area Chamber support things that promote Clear Lake, and in this case, it’s a literary promotion as well. We’re both pleased to host Michele with this first Clear Lake book signing,” Chamber Director Tim Coffey states. Johnson plans to give a brief introduction of how she got to this point and read a short section from the book.
The Storm is set in Clear Lake, Iowa, where a woman with her two children is starting life over after the death of her husband.
“I chose Clear Lake for two reasons,” said Johnson. “One, I wanted my setting to be near water. Two, the town had to be one where a native could return home and be welcomed by those who live there. After choosing Clear Lake and performing some Internet research, I fell in love with the town and knew my book had to be set there. As the plot developed, it ended up being a perfect fit. I only hope I did Clear Lake right in my descriptions.”
Johnsons plans The Storm to be book one in a series to be set in Clear Lake.
