Understanding Vision in Seniors: Cataracts, Glaucoma, and Macular Degeneration
As we age, our vision is affected by a number of low vision ailments. Sight is precious and without it seniors cannot remain safely independent in their homes. It is important to understand the differences between cataracts, macular degeneration and glaucoma and the importance of early detection. Glaucoma and macular degeneration are not reversible, so early detection is critical to slowing the progression of these diseases. Cataracts on the other hand can be successfully corrected. Attend this free lunch to learn important information regarding your vision or your elderly family member’s sight.
