Fresh on Fridays

Kids of all ages are invited to enjoy another engaging Friday in the Bee Happy Discovery Garden, filled with hands-on learning, outdoor exploration, and interactive experiences in partnership with community collaborators. Each week offers families opportunities to connect with nature in meaningful and fun ways while exploring everything the garden has to offer during the summer season. This week features a visit from Cerro Gordo County Conservation and their Insect Zoo, giving guests a close-up look at a variety of insects while highlighting the important role they play in our environment. Visitors can learn through observation and interaction while gaining a deeper appreciation for the natural world. In addition, ISU Extension will provide hands-on educational activities designed to encourage curiosity, learning, and community engagement for participants of all ages. Healthy Harvest of North Iowa will also be on-site offering interactive garden-based activities focused on healthy eating, food education, and wellness.Guests are encouraged to spend the morning exploring the Bee Happy Discovery Garden, enjoying the seasonal atmosphere, and participating in the wide range of activities available throughout the day.
