New ministry focuses on providing support to foster families God has led a Missional Community Group at Zion to encourage, support and provide for foster care families. One of the ways in which they do that is by maintaining the supplies and items necessary for foster care families to accept placements. A lot goes into taking a child/children, especially at the last minute, and they want to ease the burden by having a library of items that can be checked out and used during the duration of the placement. In order to provide this support, Foster the Family needs help from the community. Donations of new or gently used items such as car seats, cribs, strollers, toys and other child supplies are greatly appreciated. A donation drive will be held on Saturday, June 3 from 10am - 1pm at The Blackbox as part of Zion’s Love This City Purpose Driven Outreach. The Blackbox is located at 20 N 5th St., Clear Lake, IA 50428. If you are unable to make it to the donation drive, wish lists can be found on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3SPJMP34NVYGB...), Target (https://www.target.com/gift-registry/gift-giver...) and Walmart (https://www.walmart.com/.../0229a69f-0dde-47aa-aeb0...) websites.
