The Iowa Waste Reduction Center will be holding a food waste reduction workshop on October 2 at the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum in Mason City. The workshop, focusing on methods to reduce food waste and divert it from the landfill includes presentations and discussions from regional experts such as Paul Schultz, Resources Management Coordinator from the Public Works Department in Dubuque and Shelly Codner, Area 2 Representative from the Iowa Waste Exchange. Attendees will also hear from IWRC specialists as well as a panel of representatives from area organizations and businesses who will identify the challenges to food waste reduction and diversion.
