The Clear Lake High School American Heritage classes will be holding a cemetery walk on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Clear Lake Municipal Cemetery. The cost is free for this event but free will donations are accepted with all proceeds going to the Clear Lake Historical Society and the Washington DC Scholarship Fund.
A Cemetery Walk is a presentation made to the public about the history of a town. Guests will have an opportunity to take a tour through the cemetery, see the grave site of historical figures, and learn about the history of Clear Lake, including important events and people. There will be actors portraying some of these historical figures, providing a fun and interactive presentation. The Clear Lake Cemetery Walk is a project of the American Heritage class at Clear Lake High School in collaboration with the Clear Lake Historical Society. At the end of the tour, there will be baked goods and lemonade provided by the students.
