October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this year’s theme is #Every1KnowsSome1. Domestic violence impacts people in many forms beyond physical violence—harassment, financial control, and emotional abuse. Statistics show that about 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced severe physical violence from a partner in their lifetime.
Show your support on Purple Thursday by wearing purple on October 17 to raise awareness and stand with survivors. Help let them know that help is available.
Supply Drive:Last year, Crisis Intervention Service supported 59 households in Clear Lake. You can contribute by donating gift cards for gas, groceries, or fun activities like haircuts or movies to support families in need.
