Big Mysteries in Astronomy

Join Brent Studer to learn about astronomy's greatest mysteries. These mysteries, or questions, are subjects that often appear in the news and capture the public's interest, but aren't usually well-explained. Astronomers continue to work on some big mysteries and the latest generation of space telescopes are providing new insights as well as uncovering some surprises. Brent Studer graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1981 and studied Physics & Astronomy at the University of Iowa. He's taught Introduction to Astronomy for Kirkwood Community College for over 30 years and has given dozens of public presentations at the Cedar Rapids area astronomy club public nights as well as for the Iowa City Public Library and other local organizations and libraries.
