Backyard Friends and Foes

Central Gardens of North Iowa and Cerro Gordo ISU Extension and Outreach are teaming up to offer a special speaker series entitled Backyard Friends and Foes. An exciting lineup of speakers will share information that will be of interest to any backyard gardener or nature lover. The sessions are planned for outside but will move inside the Nature Education Pavilion if necessary. Each session is free and no registration is required. This first talk on June 15 is called Beneficial Insects, presented by Dr. Donald Lewis. Dr. Donald Lewis is an entomology professor at Iowa State University and can frequently be heard on Iowa Public Radio’s Horticulture Friday. At each of Dr. Lewis’s sessions insect samples are welcomed and encouraged!
