DESCRIPTION:Treasurer Patricia Wright reminds all taxpayers that 1st half of real estate taxes and mobile home taxes are due September 30\, 2020. Penalty is applied to payments based upon the US Postal Service postmark on the face of the envelope dated October 1\, 2020 or later. Treasurer recommends using the 1st half coupon attached to the statement\; the cancelled check will serve as receipt. Those wishing an additional receipt must enclose a self-addressed\, stamped envelope.\n\nWe are open to the public but because of social distancing health needs we are limiting customers to being 6' apart in hallways. Facemasks are required for entry into the Court House. We are asking people to pay taxes and motor vehicle renewals through the online website of www.iowatreasurers.org\, our preferred method. Customers can also use mail or the new parking lot walk-up window\, so we can save the in-office visits for our transactions that require face-to-face visits.\n\nIf you have questions\, call the Treasurer's Office at 641-421-3127 or email questions to cgtreas@cgcounty.org.
