SUMMARY:Take a Kid Fishing Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Saturday Kids day tournament is Saturday June 8 from 10:00 to 1:00 at the fishing jetty parking lot in Ventura. There is a small shelter house there we will be utilizing. There is additional parking across the road on the marsh side. The IA DNR will be there from 8:30 to 9:45 giving presentations of fish identification\, casting competition\, boat safety\, and other topics. When you register in the morning everyone will receive a tackle bag of stuff. When you come back by 1:00 we will weigh your fish. If you did not catch any fish we still want you to come back. EVERYONE that shows up will receive there choice of a fishing item! Louis Custom Meats has donated hot dogs for after the event. We will also have chips and drinks for everyone also. Waters & Woods Sportsperson Adventures will be cooking the hot dogs for us again this year.\n\n\n\nThis fun tournament encourages teams of one adult and up to two children ages 16 and under to fish together on Clear Lake\, from a boat or on the shoreline. The event focuses on fun\, rather than competition. Any fish caught in Clear Lake is eligible for weigh in. Free food and prizes for all entries.
