DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, October 20 the Clear Lake Arts Center invites you to move to the beat of Big Band music with Nonsemble's Club Flamingo   an intimate evening of live Big Band music\, dancing and decadent desserts. The show starts at 7:00pm\, doors open at 6:30pm. This event is designed to recreate the excitement of the Big Band Era\, New York's world famous Cotton Club and the songs made famous by musicians like Duke Ellington\, Louie Armstrong and Nat King Cole. Master of Ceremonies\, Linda Dlouhy (dah-LOY)\, enhances the evening with tidbits of history and folklore about the songs\, their composers\, and the bands that made them hits. "While I'm partial to the percussion section\," comments Clear Lake Arts Center director\, Paula Hanus\, whose husband\, Ken\, is the drummer\, "the horns and saxophone sections are solid gold." Nonsemble is a troupe of local musicians directed by bandleader Jim Reisinger. Members include John Aslakson\, Keith Bauer\, Andrew Dillman\, Ken Hanus\, John Henry\, Douglas Jenson\, Terry Kaduce\, Jim Larson\, Dick Morris\, Anastasia Nannenga\, Craig Remmen\, Janelle Renner\, Jim Reynolds\, Richard Schinnow\, @Kirby Schmidt\, Brian Stevens\, Ron Stroup\, Margaret Johnson Katter Tue and Dave Underwood Tickets: $12/person (65 & older)\, $15/person (under 65) Included in the price of the ticket is dessert\, coffee\, snacks. Wine\, beer and soft drinks available to purchase. Tables can be reserved for $10 (tables hold up to eight people). Seating is limited.
