DESCRIPTION:Meet the Artists Reception for Sandra and Abraham Quintus at the Clear Lake Arts Center. Meet Clear Lake artist Sandra Quintus and her son Abraham Quintus on Friday\, November 24 from 4pm   7pm at a Meet the Artists Reception featuring their current exhibit titled The People and The Land: a mother's and son's perspective\; now on display in the Hanson Gallery at the Clear Lake Arts Center. This reception is free and open to the public and sponsored by Bonnie Hall and Hall Realty. Sandra is a third generation painter\, which would make Abraham a fourth generation painter. Sandra learned portrait and figure drawing from her mother\, an accomplished artist and furniture restorer\; and Abraham was certainly influenced by his mother's inner passion for art and painting. This exhibit is not the first time this artistic duo\, Sandra and Abraham\, has collaborated. Sandra is well known as a fine art mural and trompe loeil artist operating under the business of Artistic Walls by Sandra. Often times\, Abraham was working right beside Sandra as part of the Artistic Walls Crew. Their murals and commercial installations have garnered praise from judges around the world\, having won international recognition and awards for their works including the installation of five murals at the Clear Lake Public Library. Today\, Abraham has been identified as an emerging artist of the American West. He currently resides in Billings\, Montana with works in the Terakedis Fine Art Gallery also in Billings. He is a 1998 graduate of Garner Hayfield High School. Visit this heartfelt exhibit through December 23\, 2017. The Clear Lake Arts Center is located at 17 South 4th Street in downtown Clear Lake. Hours of operation: Tuesday thru Saturday 10am   5pm.
