The annual Pro-Ag Outlook meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 20th, starting with registration at 12:30 p.m.. Program runs from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.. The first presenter will be Dr. Chad Hart, Extension Grain Marketing Specialist, from Iowa State University. Dr. Hart will discuss the “Crop Market Price Outlook, Margins & Risk Management Strategies” for corn and soybeans. The second speaker is Dr. Wendong Zhang, Extension Economist and a Chinese native from Iowa State University. Dr. Zhang leads the Iowa Land Value Survey, the Iowa Farmland Ownership and Tenure Survey, and co-founded the new ISU China Ag Center. His topic is “U.S. & China Trade Update”. The third presenter is Kelvin Leibold, ISU Farm Management Field Specialist, from Iowa State University. Leibold will discuss the “Critical Role of Land Values and Interest Rates in the Stabilization of the Agricultural Sector”. The meeting will be held Wednesday, November 20th, at the Muse Norris Conference Center on the NIACC Campus which is located east of Mason City at 500 College Drive, Mason City, IA 50401. The registration fee is $20 per person. Registration will be from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. Please return the enclosed registration form by November 18th, 2019 or call the Cerro Gordo Extension Office to register.
