Dennis Root’s String Quartet will be back again at Central Gardens for Picnics and Performances at the Naturalist Terrace Sunday, September 10. This is the season finale of the Garden’s series of eight performances for 2017. Dennis Root taught orchestra at the Mason City Community Schools for 44 years before retiring in 2011. He is the conductor of the North Iowa Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the American String Teachers Association. This will be an exciting performance you won’t want to miss!
Guests are invited to bring their own picnics, beverages, and lawn chairs and enjoy the beauty of Central Gardens in a family-friendly environment. Admission to the event is free. Picnics and Performances is underwritten by the Bertha Stebens Charitable Foundation. This event is sponsored by AvanGrid Renewables and the Beth Reinhart Charitable Trust.
