Friday, September 19th:
Initial Assessment & Planning for Young Child With Autism
Open to teachers, clinicians, professionals, Area Education Staff, & Opportunity Village leadership. Limited to 40 participants.
8:30am-noon: Initial evaluation of children 2-7 years of age referred for autism services following diagnosis.
1-4:30pm: The afternoon will include a rare glimpse into the actual process of evaluating a chld with autism and making a plan for helping the child.
Saturday, September 20th:
Challenging Behavior in Autism
Enrollment is extended to include parents, paraprofessionals, & the general public; no attendance limit. Free childcare is available Saturday only.
8:30am-noon: Causes and intervention strategies for late preschool through elementary school age children.
1-4:30pm: Causes and interventions for behavior challenges in adolescents with autism.
