It’s the Dog Days of Summer at the Clear Lake Arts Center! On Saturday, August 12, from 10:30am – 11:30am, Miss Angie’s Art FUNdamentals class will be creating and illustrating their own dog and puppy stories. Learn how easy it is to draw your four-footed friends. Local authors and illustrators Collette Lorentzen (Wilber’s Scary Day!) and Amy Palmer and Willy Green (Frosty Saves the Day!) will read their books to the students and share a little bit about what it takes to illustrate your own children’s book. Art FUNdamentals is open to all ages; children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult and is offered on the second Saturday of every month. Class fee $8/child/visit or a 5 punch card for $30. Punch cards are good for all After-school Art Programs, Art FUNdamentals, and Creative Kids After-school Program. Registration is appreciated, but not required. To register, call or email the Clear Lake Arts Center at 641-357-1998 or clac@cltel.net Sponsored by the McQuaid Agency and Dave and Susan Nagle.
